Lunch, Lecture, and Tour

You're invited to a special afternoon with Dr. Nikki Malley ’98, Knox Assistant Professor of Music, for her lecture, "The Sound that Sells: Music and Improvisation in American Auctioneering."

Join Knox alumni and friends for a deli buffet lunch and tour of the Musical Instrument Museum which showcases the history of musical instruments from around the world.

Enjoy a lecture about the ethnomusicological study of improvisation in American auctioneering (and hear a sample!) by Nikki Malley. Professor Malley also serves as director of Jazz Studies at Knox College, and in 2012 studied at the World Wide College of Auctioneering in Mason City, Iowa, as research for her Ph.D. dissertation at the University of Iowa.

Cost is $40 per person and includes lunch and museum tour.
