Service Event at Food Bank of the Rockies
Volunteer at Food Bank of the Rockies with Colorado-area Knox alumni, family, and friends to make a difference -- and get a free shirt! -- on National "Make a Difference Day," Saturday, October 26, 2013, the national day of volunteering.
Volunteers will be in the Reclamation Area where food and other items are processed from both food drives and grocery rescues. The Knox group will help inspect, clean, sort, and box these items before they are distributed to clients. Further information will be sent upon your confirmation of attendance.
Extend the fun and join the group for a casual lunch at Panera Bread in the Stapleton area. It's a quick drive from the Food Bank!
Volunteers must be 14 years or older and wear closed-toe shoes for warehouse work.
Visit the Food Bank of the Rockies web site for driving directions or more information about the Food Bank.
We're limited to 20 volunteers and encourage each volunteer to bring an item of canned or non-perishable food to donate. Questions? Contact Ann Feldman Perille '76 at email@example.com or 303-741-1212.
RSVP by Friday, October 18, 2013. Register online now or contact Alumni Relations at firstname.lastname@example.org or 309-341-7238.
